REVIEW: PART II - L'Oreal's pure clay mask [Hydration mask]

Image
HELLOOOOOOOOO! Its been ages since my last product review, my apologies :| Firstly, I'm so glad that L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask range is finally available in  Malaysia for the past few good months, and after countless jars of Detox and Purify masks from Watsons. Plus point is, THERE IS A HYDRATION MASK ! Back in Thailand, I only saw Detox, Purify and Brighten, no Hydration but TA-DAAA! I've got one in my hand now... was so excited that I tried it on the day I got my parcel from Hermo Malaysia 😍 Now, let's get back to 'business' shall we ;) The price remains at RM42.90  (this is from L'Oreal's official website here , others depending on sales/promos by different pharmacies/stores) but HOORAYYY Hermo just had cyber-sale tagging only RM20 each !!! Take my monehhh and I got half a dozen of it! *forgive my over-reactions okay Hmm.. the printed information of the mask contents aren't as detail as the previous ones that I got from Thailand. Any...

A priceless experience: Mt. Rinjani of Lombok, Indonesia

Image
Morning @ Plawangan Sembalun  It has been a few good year since my last camping and now I am standing at the gate to the great Mt. Rinjani, an active baby volcano in Lombok, Indonesia. Starring at the then not-so-high mountain, I don’t know what to expect but feeling excited as if butterflies were fluttering in my stomach. As we walk from flat plains filled with thatch grasses as tall as me until descending down the lush rainforest, I see no end but only dots of striking colours of my group mates’ trekking bags. We followed the trail from wind blowing morning breeze to blinding sun and to chilly sunset above the clouds. The panorama was never as rewarding as anything I had seen in my travel experiences. The stars were so bright and sparkly as if we could reach it when we stretch our arms. We even tried taking photos of the Milky Way but there were too many disruptions during the shot, unfortunately. For 4 good days and 3 freezing nights, the best thing that I ach...

REVIEW: Shu Uemura maxi: hydrability moisturiser

Image
Everyone has been saying that the main factor of skin problem is that our skin is dehydrated or not well moisturised. That is very much true, I believe. So the other day when I went to Pavillion for shopping, (while I was hunting for a good moisturiser), I dropped by Shu Uemura to sharpen my eyebrow pencil. I discovered that Shu Uemura had a new moisturiser called the maxi: hydrability . There's 2 types of moisturiser from the maxi: hydrability range: 1) Maxi: Hydrability moisture essence-in gel . 2) Maxi: Hydrability moisture essence-in cream . So, I got a few samples for the moisture essence-in gel which lasted me for about 5 days for 2 application each day. I was so excited to try it on and so have I and here's my verdict: COOL for the texture. The texture of the moisturiser is somewhat like a blurring primer with silicon-y feeling. I couldn't check the exact ingredients as I am illiterate in Japanese and this range of products are nowhere to...

Taylor's vs SEGi

Being in my final year studying communication in SEGi College, presumably I have gone through college life... except for the co-curricular activities organised by the college (no, I'm not an active person and I'll tell you why later). Let me walk you through my 4 years of experience in private tertiary education of Malaysia. I started college life late, which I had a so-called gap year before entering Taylor's University when I'm 19. Don't ask me why I started so late as I really had no idea on what my future should be back then. So, I enrolled in an ADP program majoring applied science as I willed to become a cosmetic chemist. Everything was so GOOD and extraordinary when I first stepped into the latest & largest campus of Taylor's. Campus environment: CHECKED Study environment, although ADP classes are hidden under the huge staircase, but still: CHECKED Facilities (LIBRARY & food choices): CHECKED Lecturer quality: CHECKED Campus safety: CH...

REVIEW: Shu Uemura blanc:chroma brightening UV cushion foundation

Image
So, this is my first make-up product review! YEAPS! Pardon me if it is not that good, I'll improve ! Shu Uemura has been popular with their flashy pop-colored falsies & cleansing oils but today I'll be talking about their blanc:chroma cushion foundation . Blanc:chroma sounds classy but I think it has something to do with brightening. And yes, I am using their cleansing oils too and I will be doing a review on this soon! Let's start! This is my very first cushion foundation as I do not make-up a lot. I did some research before buying this and made a conclusion that this is better than Innisfree, YSL, or the BB cushion pioneer: Laneige. I HAVE NOT TRIED OTHERS but here's my experience for Shu Uemura's: Coverage        : SHEER but good enough to cover small imperfections (can't cover big red pimples)                             - Buildable. Brightening     : YES - ...
