Back to square one?

People change, come and go, cross path with each other's life. Countless sad and happy things  from breaking up with my long-term 'almost-perfect' boyfriend to living my life like a spoiled-brat at the age of 24 all happened through these few fast-paced months. My thoughts have grown from being a college student with a resting bitch face to working like a 'dead dog' sales associate for the world-famous luxury brand to taking baby-steps working while learning in a logistics company.

The world is weird/funny (or EVIL, depends on how you think about it) that things don't usually turn out as how we expected it to be. I never thought that one day I would work in a logistic company when what I have studied was mass communication. What is the one thing that had happened to you that you never ever thought of before? Fascinating isn't it.

So since we know that we have walked a different path than what we have planned, should we turn back into what we wanted in the first place? But we haven't finish the path, haven't see the end result and should turn back already?

It's not about giving up but is this really what you want? Just as the image above (I know, people use this to express 'never give up' but I think this can be used to justify determination too), yup, the guy in the white shirt might be rich in a minute's time if he continue digging but what if he stopped digging because he realised that's not what he wanted after-all? So what if you are rich but you have no one to cry at (guys cry too)? So what if David Beckham is your husband but left you crying every fortnight?

Determination. How strong are you to getting back to your main goal? (Its definitely to be okay if you do not have a goal, but you must know what you want in life; and it may change from time to time, at different stages of life). Everyone has a unique way to reach their goal and it is okay to be different than yours. Learn and taking it as a guidance is fine but don't try to replicate other people's footsteps as each of us have different capabilities. Remember, you are distinctive and there's only one you in the world so be bold and do it your way.

Being determined is important but 'trying' is never a bad decision too. Often, 'trying' brings unexpected results (both good and bad) but most importantly, it will lead us to a different perspective of living. Why not give it a try? and if it doesn't work, it's never too late to turn back. By turn back I do not mean turn back time or undo things (stop living in fairyland, okay?), but to turn back to your main goal and walk straight up to it.

Good luck to those who are trying and congratulations to those who have found what you want. To those who have tried but failed, I'm with you but we will try again, at least for one last time.
